Osprey Custom 4x4 presents a comprehensively restored and thoughtfully modernized 1984 Land Rover Defender 90 Soft Top, combining the original vehicle’s unmistakable British utility character with the performance of a 6.2-liter GM LS3 V8, a six-speed automatic transmission, and a newly tailored cabin in Camel Tan and Silk White.

The proportions are familiar. The driving experience is anything but.

The objective is simple: retain everything that makes the Defender recognizable, then bring its performance, comfort, and finish up to a standard that invites regular use.

6.2 LITERS. NO SHORTAGE OF CHARACTER.
Beneath the bonnet of this restored Defender sits the legendary 6.2-liter Corvette LS3 V8 crate engine, producing 430+ horsepower (320+ kW) and 425+ lb-ft (576+ N·m) of torque. It’s awakened by a Digital Guard Dawg PBS-X push-button ignition and paired with a smooth 6L80E six-speed automatic transmission, feeding a heavy-duty LT230 transfer case with center differential lock. The drivetrain channels relentless power through heavy-duty axles, supported by slightly elevated Terrafirma shocks and springs with caster-corrected arms.

A custom Fluidyne Osprey-spec four-core radiator with dual Perma-Cool high-speed electric fans maintains optimal cooling, while a free-flowing dual-outlet exhaust in satin black delivers a commanding soundtrack. Upgraded front and rear disc brakes ensure confident stopping power on or off-road.

The restored Defender rides on gloss-white 18-inch Iconisus Forged ICON 7 wheels, wrapped in aggressive Kenda Klever M/T2 tires with Podium2Pavement Performance—the same race-proven rubber trusted in professional desert and short-course competition.

CLASSIC SILHOUETTE. INDIVIDUAL EXPRESSION.
Finished in bright white, the Defender 90 pairs its squared-off bodywork with contrasting black trim and an open-air profile. The white wheels and matching front bumper reinforce the deliberately coordinated exterior. A gloss-black XS-style grille and light surrounds contrast beautifully with the gloss-white powder-coated slim-line front bumper, which houses twin LED daytime running lamps and integrated proximity sensors.

Smoked LED lighting, black anodized aluminum hardware, and teak-trimmed rear accents lend a contemporary edge without obscuring the vehicle’s familiar silhouette.

The rear features a NAS-style step bumper with a teak-wood inlay, dual recovery points, and a two-inch hitch receiver. Above it, the black powder-coated Safety Devices multi-point safety cage and Signature Autosports Twillfast soft top—with quick-release tinted windows—blend functionality with sophistication.

CAMEL TAN. SILK WHITE. A DIFFERENT KIND OF UTILITY.
Access the cabin using the Viper DS4P long-range color LCD remote control or the Directed by VOXX wireless keypad. Inside, the transformation is immediately apparent. Camel Tan upholstery is punctuated by Silk White inserts and accents across the seating, including the four folding, side-facing rear seats. Alcantara Camel Tan, Genesis Camel Soft Touch, and BMW Silk White were selected for this updated interior, while Dynamat sound-dampening adds an extra measure of comfort. The result is a distinctive, coordinated cabin that remains entirely at home in a purposeful classic 4x4.

Ambient LED lighting, a wireless charging pad, and a dark wood-rimmed Mountney steering wheel with stainless-steel spokes reinforce the blend of luxury and function.

A satin-black center fascia houses the 7-inch Atoto S8 MS infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, GPS navigation, 4G LTE connectivity, and dual Bluetooth. The Rockford Fosgate eight-speaker array—including an 8-inch Punch subwoofer powered by a Kenwood eXcelon XR901-5 900-watt amplifier—turns every drive into a private concert.

For added visibility, a VOXX ACAM4 HD wide-angle, license-plate-mounted backup camera provides a rearward view with parking guidelines. An Advent/Gentex frameless rearview mirror incorporates HomeLink Version 5 and HomeLink Connect for added convenience.

In back, four stowable side-facing seats and a teak-wood cargo floor combine utility with elegance. Additional amenities include power windows, central locking, USB charging points, a heated front windscreen, a leather-wrapped console with aluminum cup holders, and heavy-duty all-weather mats.
